Cuttle me this Cuttle that...

I am thrilled to say that I have finally gotten a "Cuttlebug" machine *HURRAY*, and 2 folders to go with it from the new store I was telling you about the other day :)! I just couldn't wait any longer, plus she had a very super duper price on them too :D...so I ran out and got it :D! The two folders I got are: the script one and the snowflakes one , I can't wait to use them. When I got home, my dh asked me what it was and so I had to show him...lol, to my amazement he thought it was pretty cool and he felt he should have the first use of it but he started to get addicted. I had to cut him off, lol...I think if I hadn't my whole house and children would have been Cuttlebugged. I will have to make a card with my new folders tomorrow, no time tonight...but I might :)!
Oh by the way the lady who runs that scrapbook store donates all her proceeds to the professional Alpine skiiers in Canada :D! I thought that was kinda neat and another great way to support our Canadian Athletes :D!

Anyone know??

I am wondering if any of you are computer savvy out there, and if you can help me out...I am wondering if you can use Wordpress templates with Blogger?? Or perhaps you know a good place to get beautiful blog templates/headers, can't wait to hear from you all :D.

Who likes Blog candy?

Lol, okay...this amazing blog I found not to long ago is having blog candy up for grabs, it is pretty good yummy must have candy too. So please run over as fast as your hands can click to this blog:
http://aunttspaperarts.blogspot.com/

Take a look around at her cards, beautiful work she does too :D!

Lost my card making groove, anyone see it lying around somewhere

Lol, I decided I would make a card this afternoon using my friend Kims (author of Creative Diversions " blog) clear stamps that I borrowed. I used the stamps from the "Clear Designs" stamps (Hero Arts put them out), and it was the "K" set I used :)! I used the Kimono stamp from this set as well as the curls from it, and used a flower from a clear set I had called "Garden Words".

For the base of this card, I just used a white piece of cardstock that I had gotten from "Carousel Rubberstamp store". I used a stamp that Kim was selling from her vast collection, it has sort of a Irish look to it but felt it would be perfect for this card. I stamped this image on the base of my card, then added the stamped image of the Kimono and also the flowers onto a piece of black and cream colored cardstock. I used white ink to stamp the Kimono (Dew Drop ink pad), and I used the sky blue Colorbox Pigment ink to stamp the flowers on. I used Brillance black ink to stamp the base image as well as the swirls under my flowers on the cream cardstock. I thought the card was missing something, then it dawned on me that I had the perfect thing to put there on my flowers...it was the Swarvroski crystals that I had purchased from Michael's when they were on sale. I don't know what I am going to use this card for yet, but my dh aunt is a librarian at an elementary school and she has a new VP there...might be a good card for her. Let me know what you think !

My cutie pie

Here is a recent picture of my little cutie pie, she is now able to pull herself up to stand but is too scared to try getting down. She has 6 teeth now, 5-6 are coming in together and driving her crazy...she is also getting hair :D!! Guess who can't wait to get little pigtails or something in her hair, lol, ok it is an easy guess :p! Oh yeah, can't forget her most recent milestone...clapping, she loves to clap...she is too cute when she tries to clap because sometimes she gets carried away and hits herself instead. Lol, ok enough rambling...but I had to show you my dd :D!

It is funny because she looks like I did at this age, and my 3 year old son he also is the spitting image of me at his age except I had browner hair than he has.

I think I need some watercolor help

Oh my, this isn't the best watercoloring job I ever saw which made me frustrated more than anything and sort of disappointed to boot. I am in serious need of watecoloring help, as in I am looking for tips on how to do it the correct way or a way to make it look non streaky...or whatever the heck you would call what I did with my new house mouse stamped image. Lol, ty for your help in advance :D! Oh sure, now that I posted it on here it looks fine, lol...ok, I need help with my mouses watercoloring then :p! and perhaps the lemonade too...

Yip, I am sitting here looking at other people's blogs that have recieved their RSF (Rubber Stamping Fun) stamp sets that we are to review. I have wrote them about a mos ago now and they said they should be to me in a week...didn't show up at all :(! My friend Julie hasn't gotten her set either and so we are left to wonder what is going on. I tried using their online chat help service, and it tells me it isn't working...I tried writing them another e-mail and I don't hear back. My Bday gift for my mil (mother in law)

Here is what I made for my Mother in law for her bday gift, I am taking the chance that she isn't going to check out my blog in the next couple of hours because I am giving it to her tonight. I used tumble tile (the tiles I got were marble looking) from Home Depot ( you can get 9 or 10 tiles in a box, that are $5.99 a box), and thin self adhesive cork board to mount on the back of the tile. I also used a spray called "Americana" sealer/finisher that had a matte look to it, but if you want a glazed sort of look then you can get that kind too...I bought this spray at Michael's craft store.

I first washed the tiles ( I used 8 tiles), because they are usually pretty dusty or dirty when you get them and then I let them dry for several minutes outside. Next, I stamped the images I wanted onto the tile...let the ink dry (I used black Stayz On ink) and once it was dry I sprayed them with the spray I mentioned above. It also only takes a few minutes for this spray to dry, and I also sprayed them outside so they could dry faster...plus it had to be done in a well ventilated area :)! Once the tiles dried I brought them inside and cut out the cork board, one thing I should mention is that on the kind I bought it had a grid layed out for you and so it made it easier to cut out. When I got all the cork pieces cut, I peeled off the paper to reveal the sticky part and then I carefully stuck it onto the tile and pressed firmly all over it to make sure it stuck everywhere. Then you are done :)! I know I already sort have explained this project before , but I thought there might be new readers and wanted to cover it again :)!

MUST SEE MOVIE

Last night there was nothing on T.V., so I went to town to get a movie for myself and my dh to watch...but everything new at the usual spot I get movies at were rented. I went to a convenient store, there I found a movie called "The Ultimate Gift" which I hadn't heard anything about and so that is the one I got. Wow!! Good movie, starts out kind of slow and makes you wonder if it is going to get better or worse...luckily it does get better. It is a really good movie, and the acting is really good too...but make sure you have your tissue boxes near by just in case.
We also saw the movie with John Travolta, Tim Allen who are motorcycle riders...it had it's funny moments but wasn't the best movie that I have seen.

Ok, now for the story about my dd

My dd woke up early Tuesday morning with a high fever of 104, she had it all week...I couldn't get it to go down more than a degree or two. I used Motrin and Tylenol and, it still wouldn't go down! I took her to a duty doctor on Wed. night, she thought she had some sort of biral infection and told me to continue with the Motrin. She also told me that my dd's ears, throat were all not sore or infected looking...which I thought she had an ear infection since she was pulling on her ears. Thursday I thought her fever had broken, and that we were in the clear....wrong, her fever got higher :(! Thursday night, I talked to a Pharmacist and she thought that I should go take my dd into the IWK (it is a children's hospital in our area) if her fever hadn't lifted in 48 hours since I had her into the duty doctor.
Friday morning she seemed to be fine, her fever actually did seem to be totally gone and then I noticed that she started to get a pink rash all over her body and face. It seemed like it was itchy because she would rub her face on anything that was nearby like carpet, my shoulder, her crib sheet. So at one point I thought I would rub it with my fingers gently, sure enough she leaned hard into my fingers as if to say "Oh yes, keep going mommy that feels good!" I gave her a bath in baking soda (supposed to help with all sorts of things), and it helped a little but not a lot...poor thing :(! Friday afternoon I decided that I should take her in to get looked at, we had a very good doctor there who told me that she probably has Rosella...starts with high fever for 4-5 days then goes away as fast as it came and then a rash comes for 2-3 days. He also told me she had a sore throat, which was causing her ear to hurt and possibly be giving her a headache too and so he told me to give her Tylenol. He also said that if her fever lasted all weekend, to bring her back in Sunday afternoon or Monday morning!
I woke up this morning, to find my little dd's rash got worse...and she is more itchy than she was before...the pharmacist told me to use Caladryll (sp unsure) or Hydrocortisone (spelling is probably wrong here too, lol). Other than that she seems to be cranky as all get out, but still is hungry and sleeps a lot! I will keep you all posted!

I love what I found in my mail box yesterday

I found something that made my day a better day, guess what that was?? That's right, it was the new SU mini holiday collection 2007 catty :D! Lol, I had to call Julie when I got home to tell her about how my dd (store for later) is doing but also to talk catty talk :p! We actually sat there on the phone together for about 15 min or so, telling eachother to check out pg. whatever...oh and I like this one on this page...lol, I think her hubby got a kick out of us.
Here is what I have to say about this catty:

~Love some of the xmas sets that are there, but still stuck on the doodling aspect (not that I am totally against the "doodle"...just getting kinda old I guess (lol, but at the same time I will probably still get some of them).

~I liked the fact that there were a lot of tag sets...but the tag from the "Tags on Board" set is bigger than the large tag punch from SU, would have been nice if they were the same size but what do I know...lol!

~ I really also like the Holy Triptych" set, just beause it looks like stained glass and in some ways I love stained glass stamps.

~I love those designer gift cards, beautiful designs I thought.

~Love the "Stem Sillhouettes" set, beautiful set....just might be my favorite one along with the "True Friend"set

I do have a question though, how thick is that wrapping paper?? Lol, I will let you know why I am asking this question later...

Have a super weekend :)!

Yummy Stir fry recipe

Beef and Broccoli stir fry
Serve with steamed rice or noodles to soak up the flavourful sauce.

Makes 4 servings

Oh how I LOVE Frenchies :D

For those of you who don't know what "Frenchies" is, I will let you know about this diamond in the rough :p! Lol, no it isn't a stamping store and no it has nothing to do with any paper crafting projects...it is a second hand clothing store in Canada that has amazing clothes. I get a lot of my sons clothes there, they are cheap, alot of them haven't been worn and have tags still on them. I am the type of person who doesn't bother looking for anything for myself, because I never ever ever find anything that would fit me but on the flip side my sister in law can go in there and probably come out with the whole store. Anways, the other night I was there looking for pants for my 5 year old son who is growing out of his pants faster than I can keep up with (lol) or at least that is how it feels. I decided that since I was there, I had no kids with me that I would stay a little longer and go through the ladies shirts and sweaters bin. Well, let me tell you what I found:

~American Eagle long sleeved Henley shirt (tag still on)
~Banana Republic long sleeved shirt
~Columbia Sweater (some sort of wool sweater)
~A really nice Abercrombie & Finch sweater
~3 other shirts
~ a tank top

Lol, so guess how thrilled I was when I came out of there...I sort of wanted to run up to everyone I passed to get to my car and haul out my findings. But I knew not everyone would get why I was so excited, so I just continued on home and thought I would share with you all :p! My hubby was impressed that I found all that for $25 :D, he can never argue about great deals like that!

Someone else has blog candy up for grabs :)!

Please check this blog out, they have some great blog candy up for grabs and you have until August 26th to enter :)! Good Luck! Here's the link:

I couldn't resist :P

Tee hee, okay so I ran an errand or two the other day and I just happened to be near the second Michael's store that is the farthest from my house. I tried to drive by, I really did, but something in that store was calling my name...ok, it wasn't calling it was shouting my name and so I had to go in. When I got in there, I had to look for those cute must have "Studio G" clear stamps...they had 4 left...I asked if they had more and the girl at the counter said they didn't ( I am sure they were somewhere else in the store (there are always 2 places to look).

I also got 2 ink pads, some of those $1.oo Swarovski chrystals (by some I mean 5 packages) and found cute little wooden vehicles for the boys (they had trains, planes, helicopters, little front end loaders, dump trucks, cars, fire trucks).

I also came across this cute stamp set called "Garden Words", it is by InkadinkaDo and It has the name "Brenda Walton" on the label too. I can't wait to play around with this stamp set, and I was sort of hoping that my SU circle punch would work with some of the flowers but I don't think it will.

I also got 3 of those wooden mounted $1.5o stamps too, they were one's I hadn't seen before...but I was looking for one's that Kim had talked about and had on her blog. Oh well, next time I am over there perhaps!!

the countdown starts...

The countdown starts here in my house for when my oldest starts Primary, everyday he asks me "mommy, how many days are left until I goto school?" I keep telling him that he is going to start school on Sept. 5th, we then bring out the calendar and count the squares. Once we do that, he always says "awwww mommy, that is still too far for me to wait!"
Last week we went to Payless shoe store to their BOGO event (Buy one get one free or half price), I was sort of hoping that he would chose a different pair of shoes but apparently he knew exactly what he wanted. "Lightening Mcqueen" sneakers, I was also sort of hoping that the sneakers would have laces....none did, not a single pair of boy shoes did....the toddler/baby shoes did but that's it. So he found a "Lightening McQueen" sneaker that was exactly what hw was looking for, it was cooler than the pair he had on his feet and these one's flashed in all the right spots. I gave in and got those one's, because he liked them but also the other sneakers didn't fit him right.
We then had to goto a store to get a larger backpack than what he had been using in Preschool, I just happened to notice that the Disney store had a 25% off sign out that was for their backpacks. Otherwise I would just walk past, I wouldn't consider even going there! We found a "Lightening McQueen" backpack that fit the bill, plus it had a lunch bag that clips into the school bag. Now I just have to get him 2 or so more pairs of pants and we are set, the boy is growing like a weed and is going through pants like crazy....luckily his brother is able to wear them too :).

Oh my aching body....I feel old today :p

My dh and I were in a race on the weekend, not a Marathon (although it felt like one to me), it was our churches annual "Amazing Race". The race isn't around our province (although it would be fun), but it is around our city (that is big enough for me) :)! Family and friends looked after our 3 children, so we could do this race together which was great for us to do as a couple even though I thought I would be holding my dh back.
The race started at our church at 9:00 a.m. in the pouring rain, *Clue#1* we had to run off down the hill from our church to a malls parking lot to find our drivers... *Clue #2*then we had to goto a local beach (First Lake in Sackville)to do a challenge. When we got there it turned out that the challenge was in the sand, one team member had to dig in a 2 foot by 2 feet square (each team had their own square) to find 3 marbles. We were the second team done, we got our clue (read it outloud) and then we went to a warf where a familiar fisherman was (Dewolfe park in bedford) and there we got our next clue.
It is still raining, Clue#3 was to goto the mapped out area on the map provided in our clue and to go door to door collecting food (50 lbs) for the local foodbank...we were in the rain for about an hour or two doing this challenge. I got people not at home, or people claiming the don't have any cans of food in their homes ( I nearly demanded to see their cupboards in their kitchens). My dh got LOADS of food, I got like 6 cans of food which I thought was kinda sad if you ask me :(!! Once we got what we thought was 50 lbs we had to drive to the local food bank to weigh in, if you were under 50 lbs you could either take a time penalty or go back to your subdivision and get more food (most areas were 15-20 min from the bank). Ours was under 50lbs, we were about to accept the time penalty, when one of the workers at the food bank noticed our box was part on the lip of the counter and when he moved it off we had 52 lbs of food :).
We got clue #4, which was to goto the local well known womans institute in Metro (Mount Saint Vincent University) and go into the main building to find an inspiring student walking the halls. Clue #5 was to head to the only train station in the city (downtown Halifax) to have a manditory pitstop (lunch break), we were the first one's there and will be the first to leave but we had 1 team hot on our tails. We were the first to leave at 11:50 a.m. from the train station, we had to figure out Henry Thornton's (the President of CN Rail years and years ago) age when he died from a plaque in the train station and also from information online. We had to go find a internet room in the hotel that was connected to the station, once we got the info from online we had to log into Facebook with the e-mail addy provided and use the guys age when he died for the password. We had a bit of trouble with that, because after 3 tries the Facebook shuts down and you have to re- enter the password...plus, we weren't told that we had to type out his age (sixty two, not 62) all the other teams caught up with us. We finally got into the site, watched a video of this building in downtown Halifax...it was Pete's Fruitique...where we had to go find the Sushi bar there. My dh lovingly did this challenge but was complaining about it for the rest of the day...lol, he had to eat 3 sushi roll things and just as he was starting to do that the other team showed up. We finnished first! Drizzling, not raining at this point!
Clue #6, was for us to find the Beavertail building to sell some beaver tails (yummy pastry, wishing that we could have eaten some of those myself) to some tourists walking by during "Busker festival" (it is where performers come from all over the world and perform for people on the waterfront). Anywho, it took us not even 4 minutes to sell 3 beaver tails to tourists...I was worried there since I knew the other team was hot on our trail!! stopped raining and drizzling!
Clue #7, was for us to find a monument that had pieces of both the Great wall of China and the Berlin wall somewhere on the waterfront. We had to take the ferry over to Dartmouth, and this is where 2 other teams caught up with us. While on the ferry this lady and her hubby kept looking at me...walking by and whispering etc. Lol, it turns out that she thought I was the spitting image of her best friend...and she wanted a picture of me to show her best friend...so she took a picture of me with her cell phone (weird, I have twins running around the city again). Well, that is on the Dartmouth side of the waterfront where the "Peace Pavillion" is located to get our next clue. Not raining
Clue #7, stated we had to goto a local park to the Fairbank center and find some people on a trail that intersects the Canada trail. We were given a vague map, but there is a great huge sign at the enterance to this park that has a map of it and will show you exactly where to go. We ran past the sign because we sort of knew where to go, plus we met a lovely couple on the trail walking their dog who helped us get to our destination. We got our clue from them, on our way back to our driver we passed that other team running quickly...by the time we were pulling away from the parking lot the other team was right there getting into their car. It was raining through this challenge!
Clue #8, we were to goto the local place in Dartmouth that has entertainment for families and we are to play the "Cat and Mouse" game. When we pulled up to the movie theatre in Dartmouth Crossings (it is a new business park), employees of the theatre came to our cars and escorted us into the theatre with umbrellas because it was pouring. Lol, felt like we were getting the royal treatment which was kinda nice! Once we got 20 tickets from the "Cat and Mouse" game (it is one of those games where you have to bop a mouse on the head when it pops up out of a hole), we got our next clue at the counter.
Clue #9 we had to goto a furniture place that has a mans name as the store name (Leons in Burnside business park), and do a challenge. When we got there it was a test of how well we knew our partners, my dh got into a car to answer 3 questions and then I had to get in to answer them how he would. Let's just say that took a bit to do too, finally I got the right answer combo and we were off with our final clue. Still pouring!!
Clue #10 Still raining, goto the church basically but stated in a fancy way :p! So we drove back to the church as fast as we could, pulled into the parking lot and sure enough we were TEAM #1...the other team would have been there sooner but they had to stop due to a train going by. They were 5 min behind us! We don't win anything big, what we do win is to have our name put on a plaque that will be hung up somewhere in the church...and the title of course of winning the "Amazing Race".
Let me give you some background info here...I used to play LOTS of sports when I was in High school, and 2 almost 3 years ago I did run in the "Run for the Cure" run in Halifax. Lol, but I haven't run since then...the only running I do is after my children :p! So, I am NOT a fast runner or a good long distance runner either...so this race was hard for me to do but I pushed myself to do it. So when I woke up the next day, I couldn't walk hardly at all without shooting pains running down my legs and hips...I looked like I should have been 89 not 29 :p!
Yesterday afternoon we went for a hike (I was totally against this idea, since I could barely move let a lone lift my legs up high to get up hills), but my dh told me that he knew I could do it and it would work out kinks in my legs. I fell for that part about the working out of kinks, when I knew full well that it would infact make me worse today...well, we went on a nice long hike...2k hike with kind of rough terrain. We had a snack at the end of our hike in, then 3 of us had a swim in the lake we hiked into and then we hiked back out.
This morning, I am worse...I can hardly move...I am walking like I need a walker to aid me...but I must say I did have a blast in the race and on the hike even though I am in this pain now and am going to do the race again next year :D!

Yooohooo lookie lookie what I got

That's right I made more of these yummy muffins, they are called "Apple Pie Breakfast Muffins": and they are LOVED by all. You can't just have one :p!!! So, I thought that I would share the recipe (don't remember if I did already but I will share it again)...this way certain people (not naming any names, but you know who you are) will be able to make them themselves. Hehehe, let me know how they turn out Julie :P!

Here's the recipe:

Apple Pie Breakfast Muffins

2 1/4 c. all purpose flour

1 1/2 c. Brown sugar

1 tsp Baking Soda

1/2 tsp salt

(b) Whisk together one egg

1 c. Milk with a Tablespoon of Vinegar (makes butter milk) and let it sit for a few minutes

1 tsp. VAnilla

1/2 tsp of butter

2 c. Diced up apples

Mix all the above ingredients together, add the 2 cups of apples and stirr in well.

Topping:

2 tbsp butter melted

1/2 c brown sugar

1/2 c chocolate chips

1/3 c flour

1 tsp cinnamon or nutmeg or don't use either it still tastes amazing.

Enjoy :D! Let me know what you think, if you try this recipe out :D!

I luv peaches

Lol, this is my dd trying for the first time some peaches :D! Loves them, lol, okay so she got a little involved with her peaches...I think she thought it was baby lotion or perhaps a face wash. My lil one is now 8 mos old, and she is also able to pull herself up to stand...but she can't let go and stand on her own yet.

TY TY TY TY Kim :)!

Look at these beautiful Swarovski Chrystals that Kim got for myself and Julie, apparently they are usually around $6.oo but she got them for around a dollar a package. I haven't used these yet, but am excited to give them a try on any project that is for sure :)! Also, the other night Julie had Kim and myself over to her house for a stamping/card making night ( a non SU night).

Here are 4 stamps that I got from Kim the other night, when we were at Julies having a card making/stamping night (non SU night). Thank you Kim for the Chrystals and also those wonderful stamps :D!
Lol, I think we even broke a record for leaving early too...we left her house at around 10:00 or 10:30 p.m. which is odd for us cardmakers...we are usually there a lot later than that. Lol, Julies hubby was even commenting on how early we were leaving...he thought that Kim and I were going to go get more gals ( to re-group)...then come back later to continue to stamp. Lol, ty Julie for a fun night of stamping :D!

constant flash, flash, flash, flash and constant rumbles with a few BANGS

For someone who was hoping to get more sleep last night, I didn't do well at all...because we had the worse thunder and lightening storm I have ever been in. The lightening was constant, there was never a second when there was no lightening going off...thunder was pretty constant too..so constant you couldn't tell which crash belonged to which flash. It lasted from 3 a.m. until 5 a.m., power went out too and so my dh was late for work same with my next door neighbour who came and went in a flash to drop off her son to me.
The 2 nights before that, my dd had me up all night due to her thinking I was some kind of human pacifier...she thought she should nurse all night. This was not going to happen, besides if one does that you will be sore and I don't need that :p! Apparently this is normal when lil one's are going through milestones of somesort, well that she is...she is crawling, standing up, sitting, getting new teeth, and she is also getting a growth spurt. So the past few mornings I have gotten up with a headache which lasts for most of the day, and I have to hold my eyes open with tooth picks (not really, lol).

Cards I made

This is a sympathy card that I created for a friend of mine, who just lost her dh to a brain tumour on Saturday. I made this card using chocolate cardstock from Carousel for the base of this card, and I also used some vellum to be the second layer of my card. I used the "Doodle This" stamp set (can't see the doodles that well with this pic), I also used "Asian Garden stamp set" from Gel-A-Tin company. I also used some $1.5o ribbon from Michaels, called "Sweet and Sassy"! I also used a sentiment that I also picked up from Michael's as well...
The second card that I created I used some left over scrap paper I had in my scrap paper folder (dunno who it is by), but I did get it from Michael's or from Photo Memories store in Halifax. I also, used the "Javabellas" for my main stamped image :)! I really liked how this card turned out, I was unsure how it would look but it looks great :)! This card was sent out to a friend, whom I can't mention right now so it won't ruin their surprise mail....

Beach day

This picture is of my 2 boys, and also a friends son...they are running away from the waves and then they will run back in to only be chased back in by more waves. I looked after this little boy while his mommy was at work almost 2 years ago, he's grown up a lot since then and it was great to see them again.

This next picture is of my friend, her boyfriend and her son (the little guy who was in the water pic. above), what a great pic of them eh??

The WINNER IS....

Ok everyone, I had issues with the randome number generator...it just wouldn't work...perhaps it is just me with lack of sleep...anywho, I used another generator to chose the number. The number it chose was : 11

Congratulations Rebecca you have won some blog candy :)! Please get in touch with me at c_levy@auracom.com , so I can mail out your candy to you :)!

Beautiful place

Here is a picture I took of my oldest sitting on the big rocks on the beach at my parents cottage, I love it down there...it is as if all things outside the gates of this cottage community just stop, nothing ages inside the gates and is peaceful almost like a magical world. It is weird, it is almost like a Neverneverland :)!

This next picture is of my oldest son, giving me the best smile he can give :)! Hard to believe he is going to be starting school in a few weeks...nerve racking thought actually :p!

Love this picture

This was my middle son coming down a path that comes down from my parents cottage down to their driveway, I waited there for him to come down the path to goto the playground with me...sure enough he came quickly and this is the shot I got of him. It looks like he came from the deep dark jungles of some unknown place or Never Never land...

Daddies lil girl

This first picture is of my dh and dd having some one on one time together, lol, everytime my dh saw my dd in the morning he'd greet her with a sticking out of the tongue while blowing air out to make that zerbert noise. Now anytime she sees him or thinks that she wants him she sticks out her tongue and makes that noise. It is too funny, anyways here he is trying to get her to show off this "greeting".

This next picture you see is of her having an "air plane" ride...can you tell she is a little unsure of what is going on??

My Dh's second attempt at making her make that noise, as you can see she doesn't look impressed by his attempt...lol!

Teeter Totter

Here are some pictures of my sons, and my hubby teaching them how to use a teeter totter...it was their first time on one. The teeter totter and playground was at my parents cottage community, great place to grow up in the summers :)! This was when we were visiting my parents Natal Day weekend, and I didn't get to post very many of the pics from our visit.

The last picture is of my 3 guys running away from the playground, I just love this shot of them...I think they are having a race (my oldest is pretending to be Lightening McQueen, from the movie Cars).
Don't forget Blog Candy draw is ending tomorrow, so hurry and leave a comment :)!

I also want to thank you for again for all your comments :) on my blog :)!

CCE #6 cards

Thank you so much for these wonderful cards :), I recieved them on Friday which was a nice treat before I left for my parents cottage. This first card is from Carole Mork, I am wondering how she did the base of this card....it looks like she took a toothbrush with paint on it and spattered the paint all over the cardstock.

The second card is from Heather Robinson, and I just love what she did with this card...it is amazing. I too am wondering if she stamped the images on the base cardstock or if the paper came like that??? Beautiful work gals, keep em coming :D!
Lol, for someone who said that they weren't going to be posting much I am totally doing the complete opposite. Tee hee...oh well, call it therapy perhaps!! Not my fault I got neat mail, a blog candy contest, a beautiful sympathy card from my good close friend Julie and I took lots of great pictures on the weekend :D!

My blog contest

Thank you so much for all your comments for my contest, and no you have not entered too late...the contest is still on so hurry up and leave a comment you have until Tuesday night :)!

look what is in my yard

This adorable cute little baby bunny was found by my 5 year old in my back yard, he has been trying to find him everyday...so far he has found him at least 1 time everyday. Hope he sticks around :)! My 5 year old seems to think he should try to catch him, so that the bunny could be his pet...I told him that the bunny lives around our house anyways...so he is sort of like a pet, but don't try to pet him. No need to get bitten and have a trip to get a needle!!

Ok, if you do see a card you like or an idea or suggestion please leave a message on that persons blog...even if you don't feel like it because you never know what kinda day that person might be having. They might need a nice comment from you...I have been doing this for a week. I have left comments on about 10 blogs so far, and am going to try to continue this...don't do every blog on your list...lol, you might be here till the new millenium.

Uncle Roy

Just thought I would let you all know that I am still here, just been busy but I won't be posting in the next couple of days due to my Great Uncle passing away last night around midnight. He hasn't been well for awhile (been battling cancer), and he has been in a lot of pain...so we are glad that he isn't suffering anymore but will miss him greatly.

Thank you Rebecca Ross!

A quick thank you to Rebecca Ross for the great RAK I recieved in the mail yesterday, it came at a time I needed something in my mailbox other than bills. She gave me several stamped xmas images that we as Canadians or Americans can't get...I will add them later, got to run...busy day ahead of us!

Here's a new card that I made last night

I came up with this card on the way home from errands yesterday afternoon, because I needed a card to go with some potted flowers that I am going to give my grandmother (Oma) today. I wanted to use the "Pick a Petal" stamp set, and somehow use it to have part of the flower part of the cardstock then to have the rest "pop" out. It is hard for me to explain...I guess I was sort of going for the "Escher" look, if you don't know who Escher is check out the link I have set up when you click on his name. Pretty amazing stuff he does...so I was trying to go for the picture of the "Drawing Hands" picture he drew. I would appreciate any ideas or advice on how to achieve this, it would be much appreciated!
Anways, I needed a special card for my grandmother because I wanted to say thank you for everything that she has done for me and my family over the past couple of years. I don't think my family and I would be where we are today if it wasn't for her help, actually I know we wouldn't be where we are today...
Have a great weekend, and HAPPY NATAL DAY to all my fellow Canadian friends :D!
