I went to my mailbox this morning to find this lovely card from Brenda Santer, thank you so much Brenda for such a beautiful card :)! It will be up on my crafty room wall, that is where I usually put all the cards I get from friends or other crafty souls like myself..oh yeah, this card is for the May CCE (Canadian Card Exchange). Wait a second...wow, I am impressed you are early Brenda!

TY, Deborah you are such a sweetie :)!

Thank you so much Deborah for your beautiful card, and the Gem brads that you included in your card...it made my day to find this in my mailbox :)! I know that it took a lot of work (well at least I think it is a lot of work, since I tried to do this technique at your place), to create this card :).

Hugs to you all,
Catherine

TY, Kim :)!

Last night, Kim showed up with a box of goodies that she wasn't using anymore or wasn't interested in using and she said take what you want. I must say it was great, I came away with:

~beautiful recycled paper

~some patterned paper

~stickers that look like leaves

~ink pads

~ a baggie of eyelets

~ a package of jigsaw alphabet letters

Lol, me being silly asked a silly question...I didn't know that each color can be taken off the base of the ink pad to be used seperately. I thought it was one of those spectrum ink pads, lol, I felt very silly after asking how would you ink your stamp up using one color...sigh. It was my first time seeing one of these ink pads, so that is my excuse and I am sticking with it as funny as it might be.

Thank you Kim for your goodies, I can't wait to use them :)!

TY, ty, ty, ty, ty, ty Tracy :D!

I went to my mailbox and boy was it a great mail day for me today :D! I found a envelope in my mailbox from Tracy H., I tore it open to see what she had sent me and here is what I found:

A beautiful card using a See D's stamp set that I had picked up for her here at my favorite store Carousel Rubberstamp store in my area and inside I found a Starbucks gift card to get a hot drink with :). Can never say no to a hot drink :D, especially when the temperatures here have been Arctic like or at least to me they have felt that way. What do you think Julie, are they arctic temperatures to you??? Here is a picture of the inside of Tracy's card, isn't that a great idea to do to make a gift card??? I thought so anyways :)!

Also in that envelope was a little bag with some ribbon (can never have enough ribbon, and some buttons to match) :)! There was also some beautiful paper in it too, which I can't wait to use :), or perhaps I should hord it away for a special day...lol.

Thank you Tracy for this great mail day, and I would love to have the instructions on how to make this neat card...my cards that had pockets in them looked kind of hokie, but I just loved your card. Beautiful work :)!

Have a great Stamping day :D!

Card from Diana Langman

I recieved another card last week (sorry I am just posting this right now), but was busy trying to get ready for my son's 6th Birthday party which was a success by thre way. I recieved a card from Diana Langman, what a beautiful cuttlebugged card :)! I am going to have to play around a bit more with my cuttlebug, lol, especially since I saw this card...Thank you so much Diana :)!

Stay warm, and happy stamping :)!

A Sympathy Card from Julie

Thank you Julie, for this sympathy card that you made for us and for the card/meal that you made my parents it was really sweet of you :)!! I also must apologize for not posting this card sooner, I kind of got caught up in doing other things, and getting ready for my Grandmother's funeral etc. So here it is now, better late than never...but still should have been posted sooner! My Grandmother's funeral was on Saturday morning at 10 a.m., it was a really nice service and my dad gave a wonderful eulogy (not sure of spelling here)...I was dried eyed until my dad got to the middle of his talk. He ended it starting each sentence with : "I see her hands...." for instance, "I see her hands knitting sweaters for us children, I see her hands making meals, I see her hands washing our clothes, I see her hands in mine as she breathed her last breath..." There wasn't a dry eye in the place! It was interesting because my grandmother kept her everyday life to herself, so when I heard she was part of a weekly book club and was part of some peace movement thing I was shocked. I have only ever met 2 of her friends, but there at her funeral they came out of the wood work and I only knew half of the people if that there. All in all the funeral went well, it was different from the other funerals that I have attended because my Grandmother was a Unitarian. I have never been to a Unitarian service or to a funeral by that denomination before, so that too was interesting...they lit a candle at the beginning of the service to signify life, then at the end the blew it out signifying death and life continuing on. Which I thought was neat, but at the same time I found it hard to watch the candle get snuffed out...even though my Grandmother had passed away a week ago, seeing that candle being blown out was almost making it more real. Make sense???

Ty, Mrs. Cox

The other day when my dh came home from work he handed my a bag saying that it was from his father, I looked inside the bag and I found these lovely things inside. I was surprised my father in law got these for me, then thought perhaps it was my mil (mother in law) who got them for me when she was out grocery shopping. Then I come to find out that I a lady from my church (Mrs. Cox) was at the dollar store and she came across these...she said that she couldn't leave them there. She thought that if she did get them she would keep them and never use them...so she got them for me :)! It made my night, I was having one of those days that was a hrad one and a treat is what I needed :)!

Thank you again Mrs. Cox :), you are a sweetie! So, I just had to make her a thank you card, so I used that cofee card I made the other day and was going to put "Thanks a latte" but then refrained because I thought it would be too cheesie. I would however like to ask, how many of you use these lovely stickers/embellishments on your cards?? I haven't used these often, think I would use them with the right card...going to have to step outside my comfort zone box I think.

Ty, Brenda Santer

Thank you Brenda Santer for your wonderful card, I just got it in my mail this afternoon. It is for the September CCE #6 card swap, and wanted to share it with all of you :)!

Update on the computer saga, lol, I got a call this morning saying that it took a lot longer for the Windows 200 to be re-installed on my computer and it won't be ready until tomorrow morning. Then I thought oh no, it will cost more $$ to get fixed since it took longer than expected. Just as I had that thought the man assured me that he won't charge me anymore than what he quoted me before...nice of him I thought :)! I miss my computer....this one I am on right now is old and slow.....

Ty, to Jean Faris

Ty, to Jean Faris for this beautiful card. Loved the stamp you used, made me think of all the flowers that haven't bloomed yet in my garden.
