Yesterday

First of all I want to thank all of your for your kind words, your support, your thoughts and prayers and phone calls/e-mails :)! So I am sure you are all wondering what happened yesterday at our Assessment with the Autism team, so I guess I am as ready as I am ever going to be to tell you what is going on.
We were told it was basically unconclusive, that they didn't think he has Autism or anything on the spectrum but they want to wait and see (grrr...more waiting). They want us to get him into see a OT (Occupational Therapist), they want us to take parenting course (not too sure but felt sort of insulted by that), they also want to see us back in 6 months into the Developmental clinic. Sure I am happy that it probably isn't Autism or anything on the spectrum, but at the same time that diagnosis would explain everything with him and we would be getting the much needed help that we need for him.
So no answers yet, just waiting...it felt like I was there for 4-6 hours just for them to tell me to wait 6 more months...that was frustrating. Then I guess I felt that what about help for us for the here and now?? Nothing...except we are going to keep him in the Preschool he is in now, since we have seen lots of improvement through them and we will be keeping him on that restricted diet until further notice. We also got news today that we officially have an EI (Early Interventionist), we will be meeting her on Oct. 22nd at 10 a.m. here at our house :)!
The assessment team told us that he has definite Sensory issues that are causing difficulties with him to get through each passing day, and certainly making an impact on our family (as in it makes it hard to do things outside our home). They also told us that he has some behavioral issues, and the word OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) was used a few times but they won't tell us really what is going on for now.

So there you have it, more waiting folks...

lol, little miss fashion

Lol, she isn't even 2 yet and here she is picking out her outfits...it is mostly her shoes she has issues with me picking out for her. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't want!! Had to share this picture of her, with a hat that another friend of mine with a little girl gave her. Cute eh??

Here you go Julie

Lol, Julie called me this morning to just see how things went yesterday...will talk about that in my next post but before she got off the phone with me she told me she wanted me to make a happy card. That she will be checking for a picture of it later when she got home, so here is my card but it is one I have been working on for the past couple of days. So I sort of didn't make it today, but I sort of did...is this cheating??
The stamp I used to create this card came from the Michae's dollar fitty bin :p, and used one piece of "bling" for it too :)! I decided though that I am going to have to pay around with this stamp a bit more, so that I will get the hang of using it. See when I stamped this image, and I positioned it the way I thought it would come out looking straight...it didn't, it was slightly off...so that is what I mean by playing around with this stamp a bit :)!

Me stressed??? Never....lol

Tomorrow is our BIG day for getting our 4 year son assessed for Autism, boy am I NERVOUS and ANXIOUS about this appointment. Ok, I am stressed out about it...just because we have been brushed off so many times before and I don't want it to happen again. I am trying my best to distract myself with household chores that have to get done or talking with friends, but it isn't working.
I will let you all know how our assessment goes tomorrow and if I am bald...lol!

Don't worry am about to post more cards I made over the weekend :)! Oh yeah, my card making class last night went really well....I think I am getting these people hooked on making cards (tee hee).

my son

Here is a picture of a robot that my 4 year old son made by himself out of blocks, this is something new for him to actually take the time to build something out of blocks. Before he was on the restricted diet he wasn't interested in building things out of blocks, or drawing or painting and so with him being on this diet has helped. Even the pre-school that he has been attending has been helping him to try to play with other things, and try to use his imagination which I know he has a very good one (right Julie??). Lol! I just had to share this picture with you :)!
Incase you were wondering Julie Ethan has NOT forgotten about the space suits :p! *GACK*, just noticed what he was doing when I took this picture...sigh and I didn't notice it until I posted this picture. Lol, just don't get boys sometimes !!

So I made a second card like the fairy girl card I just posted on my blog, to send to another little girl names Miss Malia whom I have been reading about on a fellow blogger's blog. I thought her family as well as Malia could use one :)! I LOVE that card, will have to keep it in mind for other times I need a girly looking card :D!
