Baby Card

Good friends of ours just had their first baby, I got them 2 little outfits for their little girl and just HAD to make a card for her too :)! I decided to use the new Valentine BoBunny line of patterned paper for this card, as well as the Heart Nestabilities too...so in a way it looks like a Valentine card too. The stamp set I used was a CTMH set called "A Birthday Wish", just LOVE the 3 animal stamps (Dog, sheep, Bunny) and have used them a few times but not yet for invitations!

Baby Card

I just found out a week ago that one of my hubby's co-workers wives is expecting their first child, so I just HAD to make them an adorable card using an A Muse stamp that I picked up the other day.

I also picked up the "Quick Kutz" Polka Dot embossing folder, still not too sold on these embossing folders by this company.  I think I still prefer the Cuttlebug embossing folders over these QuckKutz ones!!  I think part of the problem was that I didn't know you needed a few shims (pieces of paper) in order to get a good deep embossed look. Otherwise, if you used them like you do the Cuttlebug folders (which I did the first time) you will get a faint/lightly embossed image.

Thanks for stopping by,

baby card

Wanted to make a baby card incase I needed one, so I decided to make a little girl one and will be making a boy one too :)!  I used the "Hannah" baby stamp set, LOVE this set...you can do so much with this set :)!  Sadly, in this picture the colors are slightly off...going to have figure out why....

Here is the
side view of the card, so you can see that I raised up the little diaper shirt using dimensionals :)!  I also used a Doodlebug designs clear baby stamp set as well, the bottle is from this stamp set and so is the "girl" sentiment.

Baby card

My mom and dad had a neighbourhood xmas party at their house this past weekend, they found out that their next door neighbour is expecting their first child in August.  So I came up with this wonderful card for her neighbours, lol, kind of took it upon myself to make it before my mom asked me to make one for them. I LOVE this set :D!

The patterned paper that you see, that looks like a baby blanket, is a rather old piece of patterned paper that I got when my oldest son was born to use in his baby scrapbook. Lol, so I can't tell you where I got it from because it was almost 7 years ago when I got it...which at least narrows it down to it NOT being Michael's :p!
Oh yeah, I must tell you how I did the sky around the "clothes line"...I used what I call my wooden daubber and I just daubbed the color all over the stamped image. It kind of made it look like clouds/ sky...neat eh??
