Local Children's hospital should offer frequent flyer points :P!

Yep, it was one of those weekends that I should have just stayed in the city because of 3 different trips into the local children's hospital. It all started Friday morning, my dd (Darling daughter) woke up with a nasty high temp of 104 and she also started to throw up too. I couldn't get her temp. down so off we went, my fd (family dr.) told me that 4 mos old and younger if they have any sort of high temp they should be taken in to the children's hospital to get checked out. They just said she had a cold/flu thing that was going around the community, to keep giving her Motrin, to bring her back if she got worse etc.
I just got home from that, not even a half an hour home when my 3 1/2 year old son was playing on the rocking chair in our living room when he fell and hit his head on our brick hearth. It looked worse than what it was, but head wounds tend to bleed a lot anyways...makes mom's heart skip a beat that is for sure!! Once I got that all cleaned up and the trail of blood he left behind, not even an hour later he fell again...this time he split his chin open. This I thought needed stitches or that glue that they use for some wounds...so off we went back to the IWK (children's hospital). He didn't need stitches or glue, but was sent home to have close monitering over the next 48 hours!
Saturday morning my 3 1/2 year old son woke up at 4:30 a.m., he started to get sick, and he also had a high fever 104.5 (sigh). He complained of a headache all day, a tummy ache and he wasn't acting like his high energy self (otherwise known as Photon boy)! I got concerned it was his head injuries that caused the headache and throwing up, back we went to the hospital at the request of the dr. on duty at the hospital. I got there at 9:30 or so at night, we were to be seen pretty much right away, when all of the sudden 7 ambulances came in...so we got bumped! My son got worse as the night went on, he was kinda out of it due to the fever, but the nurses kept bringing him popsicles and juice to keep him hydrated. They also gave him a large dose of Tylenol, within an hour or so he was back to his normal self, and they said it was a viral thing too...not the head injuries (Thank goodness for that). We didn't get home until 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning!
Needless to say I am one tired momma, and I could go for a long winters nap or I should say spring nap! Ethan is fine now, Maiah has a nasty cough that is getting worse :(! I have a sinus cold *boo hoo*!
Well, I am staying low here today...although it is a nice day out there...opening up all the windows...hot out there :D!

Have a great day :D!

Hugs
