Last night's gals night out

Last night I went out with the usual crafty night gals, we went out to a restaurant called "Wok Box" to celebrate 5 Birthdays that are in the month of June. Sadly 2 of the gals couldn't make it out, you were missed that is for sure *HUGS*! We had lots of laughs (reading the fortune cookies, and Julie's reaction to a butterfly card that Kim made), and we left with VERY full yet satisfied bellies :).

We still had our challenge project to do, and this months challenge was to make a 3 dimensional project (it didn't have to be a card). Was going to show you mine, but my silly card reader isn't liking the card I put in it so will have to get it onto a disk at the grocery store tomorrow morning and post the pictures then. We also brought all of our "movie themed" cards as well, tried to guess what movies we chose...some of them were difficult but I think that was because of our age :p (me being the youngest).

update on my little furry friends

They don't seem to be lying out on the driveway's ledge anymore, they seemed to have perked up after I gave them that granola bar (lol) and also the syringe full of milk. I have been seeing them around, and have been leaving them peanuts out on the ledge to enjoy :)!

Thank you so much FoundProdicalDaughter (a fellow Nova Scotian) for your offer to help find out what to do with these little guys...tried to leave a message on your blog (it wouldn't let me) and tried to find your e-mail addy but couldn't.

Baby squirrels

Guess what was found in my front yard by a friend of ours this morning?? Baby squirrels, no parents in site and these two weren't looking so hot...so I took out a granola bar (trailmix) bar that was chalk full of nuts and sunflower seeds. I didn't use zoom to take these pictures, I just sat a few feet from them and took these pictures :)! Got some really great shots of these two :D!

Our friend thought they were dead, since they were just lying there with their eyes closed but when I gave them a granola bar they perked right up.

We are hoping that the parents will come back for them, help them back up into their "nest" and that something won't get them.

Daniela's 3rd Bday card

My dd's good friend Daniela is having her 3rd bday party tomorrow afternoon, and we have been invited to attend. I needed a really good cute girly card for her, to go with her gift and I knew that she LOVED those "Littlest Pet shop" characters. So here is what I came up with for her Bday card :)!

This next photo I took, I wanted to show you that I layered the butterfly character. I also used Glass finish product on the eyes, the wings and also the ends of the antenae...turned out pretty neat :D!
