ENABLER ALERT

Okay, so today I was over at Michael's with my Mom looking for some Valentine rubber stamps because she wants me to make her 20 Valentine coasters for her. Well, they didn't have any unless of course you wanted a bunch of pigs holding red hearts...lol, not too sure what message that sends but it wasn't one I wanted to send.  Then I spotted over in the corner of the store where they have magazines, and other books they had K&C Amy Butler stamp sets on sale. By on sale I mean $3.95 for one set and I used my coupon (40% off) on the second one which was 10.95....beautiful stamps...

Secondly, I was going to be a good girl and wait until the 27th to see the NEW SU catty...well...I couldn't wait...could you blame me?? I was anxious to see what new goodies I HAD to have on my wish list...so here are the sets that really interested me:

~A Kind Word
~Thoughts and Prayers
~Wonderful Watercolors
~Animal Crackers
~Trendy Trees
~Simple Friendship

Here are the one's on the may be list:

~Thoughts of Father
~Garden Greetings
~For the Bride
~Special Blessing
~Ever After
~Playful petals
~Branch out

There ya go gals...happy crafting and I will be back to post a creation I made this afternoon with my new stamps...

Hugs,

Look at this gorgeous crafty bag from my parents :D

Look at the gorgeous crafty bag that my parents got me for my Bday (very early bday gift...my bday isn't until Feb. 3rd), it is by Vivid Allon and is handmade by someone in Canada (even better).  We found this bag over at a store called The Henhouse" in downtown Halifax over by my son's preschool.  It has 2 outter zippers, one if your bag isn't that full, and the other one you can use if your bag is going to be filled to the brim like I would have it.

It has pockets all around the inside of the bag,can never have too many pockets...which is great for us crafty souls :)!  Thank you mom and dad, will use this for sure :D!!

My mother in law for Xmas offered to make me the crafty bag that I bought the pattern for, so that is still in the making...almost done but the good news is I will use BOTH bags for our crafty nights. I won't be coming with the recycled superstore/Telus/Michael's bags anymore :)!

Bday Pictures

Here is the cake that I picked out for my son, he wanted a Bakugan (sp?) cake or a Transformer cake but they didn't have any of those. So this is the option that was cool for his age group, the others were kind of babyish.  Was kind of disappointed as it didn't really taste like chocolate and it looked not as cool as the picture they had of it. Oh well, note to self not to go back there!!!

Here is my son (the bday boy) and Julie's oldest
dd, too cute eh?? And yes they are still a couple, and it is safe to say that I think they
are still engaged judging by the "snuggling" that was going on...what do you think Julie??? I think Julie and I had as much fun as the kids did at this party, because we were busy taking tons of pictures of these two together. My dh told us we were being bad...lol :)! Cute picture of these two, they don't see eachother as much as they'd like but when they do see eachother it is "young love"...so I am told by my son.

Oh yeah, did I mention there is another girl?? Lol, of course there is right?? Can't believe this is already happening here in our house, I am NOT ready for this...nor is Julie I don't think :p!  But anyways, there is another girl and she was in my son's primary class last year....they aren't in the same class this year though.  He invited her to the bday party too, I know sounds like trouble...lol.. the funny thing is that he is totally oblivious to this all (typical guy eh?).  Poor
guy!!

Let me tell you that it is a good thing there were only 2 girls there at the party, because they both wanted to sit by him...good thing he has 2 sides...lol :)!

Here are two more of my son's best friends from school, these two are sweeties :)!  I look after the little boy on the left (he is in Primary) 2 days a week, along with his sister(who is in grade 3) after school.

Here is Julie's youngest dd, who apparently is going to marry my other son...at least this is according to him. Somehow I don't think Julie's little girl knows this yet, lol :)!

Here is mostly everyone that was invited to the Birthday party...the best picture out of the 4 that I took of the group, am hoping Julie's pictures of them around the table turned out better than mine.

After cake time was "pinata" (sp?) time, oh boy I think is the time Julie and I got most of our pictures from...lol and you will see why.  Julie and I were standing talking (enjoying some coffee, lol, of course), while watching the kids hit the pinata...when Julie nudged me to see what our two kids were upto. Well, Julie and I ran and got our camera's trying to get pictures while the pinata was swinging in front of these two.  Apparently this was done to make sure the other girl knew to stay AWAY!!!  Typical guy, my son didn't mind this attention but was oblivious to the other little girl standing next to these two.

These two also didn't notice all the flashes of our two camera's going...lol...good pics for the future wedding reception. Whispering sweet nothings into eachother's ears...lol...I am hoping Julie got the picture of her dd twirling my son's short hair. Oh boy, I guess we are bad Julie :p!

Here is the other little girl looking hopeful to get some of my son's attention....lol, who knew a 7 year old's bday could be so exciting.

Here is a picture I took of my other son and Julie's youngest dd, LOVE this picture...too cute :)!

My Son's Bday card

My son wanted a penguin on his card, so I found a penguin stamp by Stampendous over at Photo Memories yesterday...cute lil fella eh??  So with this picture I just wanted to show I used dimensionals for the penguin:)!

I used the classic circle Nestablilities to make the igloo, cool idea?? The "Happy Birthday Sentiment is a sticker, had to use it since all my "Happy bday" stamps weren't the right size.

Happy Stamping and for heavens sake stay warm,

Photoshop Elements 5.o question

So I have Photoshop Elements 5.0, and have just started to play around with it...so I downloaded lots of different brushes for it but when I did I noticed that the other brushes I loaded into the program weren't there. Do you have to save them?? How do you do that so they stay on the list that you scroll down on to pick the brush you want????

Did I mention how cold it is here today?? Holy cow it is cold, mind you it isn't cold like Winnipeg cold but it is cold enough....stay warm gals :)!

Hugs,

HAPPY BDAY :)

Yep, today is  my oldest child's bday...he is 7 years old :)!  HAPPY BDAY sweetie :)!!!  He is having his friends over tomorrow for a Bday party, there will be 8-9 children here so it will be interesting and will take pics for sure to post.

Lol, okay so now for the explaination for those scraps across my son's face...poor guy :(! We have a "sled/tube" run down the side of our driveway (which is a bit of a hill), and the kids just love it.  So he got home after school with the little boy I look after (2 days a week), they wanted to go tubing down the run. Which is fine because it
was a beautiful day, and the run is still in pretty great shape.  So his little friend went down first, then the tube decided to not let my son go down on it and flipped him over and it sat on him going down the hill. Sadly my guy didn't remember to lift his face out of the snow, so here we are left with these scrapes down his face...not so good for the Bday boy.

Hugs,
