Update

Several weeks ago we had an appointment with a doctor I like to call "flip flop" (as she can't seem to stop contradicting herself), she told us that she would like to put our middle child on Prozac to help with his OCD (thoughts) and ADHD issues he has. I was not comfortable with doing so, just because I thought she was too perscription happy and I didn't know too much about OCD or ADHD or the drug she wanted him on.  She just told me I was just being anxious, lol...ummm, nope...try cautious!

We then had an appointment with the ped's neurologist a week after our appointment with "flip flop".  He agreed we should try the drug with him, since he was seeing evidence of some issues going on there at our appointment. He also thought that if we did try it as a trial, it worked so well we might not have to have him on the gluten free diet. Anyways, we decided after much research that we would try it out as a trial basis!!  So on Friday (day4) of being on the meds, I had scheduled two playdates...one in the morning and one for the afternoon since my oldest child had no school that day.  My friends and I were so amazed with a HUGE difference we saw in him....here are some things that we noticed:

~He didn't wine
~he didn't have a meltdown
~he was calmer
~he seemed happier
~he said "Mommy, isn't it nice that I didn't scream at all today?" He seemed quite happy he hadn't screamed all day too....it felt good to him.
~we had NO, problems/complaints about anything with him on Friday

So yesterday, we had an appointment with "flip flop" to make sure that the meds were okay or if he was having any reactions to the meds.  But when I told the dr. that we had an awesome day on Friday, she started to cry...never made a doctor cry before :p!  She told me his blood test results came back fine, no issues there which is good...because that test ruled out him having Ceiliac disease. Then she told me she has to meet with one of her co-workers (who was also the other dr. who assessed Ethan with the Autism Assessment team), to discuss the video footage taken of our son at school in a social setting.  She told me that this other doctor didn't say anything about the video she saw, but that they were going to meet in the next couple of days...hoping it will be sooner than that.  This "flip flop" doctor also said that there IS something going on with our son, and we have to now move forward to figure out what it is (I was sitting there thinking, do I believe her or is she going to change her mind...plus, I was thinking it is about bloody well time you started to move forward!)
Tonight, is the night we have to keep my son up as I told you before in a previous post...it is for an EEG....to rule out seizures (Petite mal) one's to be exact.  It will be an adventure I am sure tomorrow afternoon...but will keep you all posted as to how things go.

My dd on Mother's day

I took some Mother's Day photo's of the only child in my house who was willing to have their picture taken...yep, my dd.  So here she is wearing a pretty dress, and her hair is in braids....sadly they didn't stay in braids because shortly after this picture was taken she walked by me without them in.

Here is the second picture I took of her, I wanted a close up of her and was lucky because she just turned seconds after I took this picture :D!!!  She's growing up too fast, would love to pause certain ages of the kids....

And the final picture of her is her trying her best to look shy, which she isn't :p!  I just noticed that she has some breakfast on her face...lol, I made pancakes for the kids :D!

Inky Hugs,

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY :D

First of all I would like to wish all of you a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY :)!  Hope you all have a wonderful, and very special day :)!

Secondly, I would like to say that I am still here not to worry...just had a deadline to get my friends wedding invitations done and of course Mother's Day things done too.  My friends invites were to be done last Thursday, but sadly my computer decided that 3 days before that it should get all hormonal on me and needed to goto the repair shop.  So I didn't get the invites done for Thursday, and so the deadline was moved up until yesterday which was REALLY good but had to pull 1 late night and an all nighter.  The bride has them now, and she was so thrilled...they are so much more beautiful than what she thought they would be :D!
So on that note I need to a few days off to recoup, get sleep, doubt that will happen as my middle child's EEG is on Wednesday and here is what we have to do on Tuesday to get him ready for that appointment.  He has to stay awake until midnight (oh yeah we do too), then he can sleep from midnight until 5 a.m. then he has to remain awake until 1:15 p.m. when our appointment is. Ummmmm, for someone who just pulled basically 2 all nighters and will have to do a second how on earth do they expect us to get him in there on that kind of sleep?? Lol, thinking if we start walking now we will get there in time for our appointment cuz I doubt we will be fit to drive :p!  Several intakes of a strong coffee will have to be done I think :D!  Will let you know how the appointments go, hoping we will get answers soon....that is my Mother's Day wish....

Baby boy card

I was in need of a baby boy card for a friend of mine, who just had her first grandchild and I just HAD to make her a card :)!  Here is what I came up with, and it looks AMAZING :D!  This little cute giraffe stamp is from Stampendous,  saw it on sale at one the regular crafty spots I visit and I couldn't leave it there.  I believe the "congratulations" sentiment is from an Impression Obsession stamp set...it is just a perfect size too.
